present status (disappearance of trees – deforestations – problems …) need of

students.
Speech on “Tree Plantation”
Honorable Sarpanch, SMC Chair person, Respected Head
Master, teachers and my dear friends
Good morning to all!
First of all, I
congratulate everyone who present here for your concern for the environment. We
are happy to conduct “Tree Plantation” programme today. Let me recall the
importance of trees.
Tree plantation
means planting trees in large number. Trees are very important to us in many
ways. We cannot think of our existence without trees. Trees cover a great deal
of our food deficiency by providing fruits and vitamins. They supply timber for
various uses. Trees prevent soil erosion. Many kinds of medicines are prepared
from leaving roots and barks of trees. Above all they help us to keep
ecological balance supplying oxygen.
Generally, trees
are planted in Italy and August. They are planted in July and August. They can
be planted at road sides and in all educational institutions. But our trees
forests are not sufficient in proportion to our total land area. Why does it
happen? There population and the cities increased. People started to cut down
the forests and make their towns and functioning. It because deforestation. As deforestation
increased naturally ecological imbalance occurs. As a result, we are facing
many problems like various deceases, weather changes, global warming and loss
of habitat for many species.
To preserve our environment,
we should plant more trees. The government should encourage people for
reforestation by various media and has to distribute saplings and, seedlings
for free and share responsibilities to the people to protect them.
Now let’s come
to our students’ responsibilities. We are the next generations. We too have
responsibilities to protect trees and support reforestation. For that every
student has to take oath today to plant and protect ten each. I do it. Do you?
At the end I
would like to thank all for giving me this opportunity.
Jai Hind.
E.g. 3:
Imagine you are the person in charge for the ‘Discipline Committee’ of your
school. The students of your school have been carrying cell phones to school.
The Headmaster of the school has asked you to give a speech enlightening them
not to bring the cell-phones to school.
Write
a script of the speech on “Cell phones should not be allowed in school”.
Your
speech should reflect the following ideas in it.
Use
of cell phones – where the use of cells phones prohibited – how they hinder the
duties of employees in offices, schools and other educational institutions –
how it, causes disturbance for learning to the students’ community – etc.
Speech on “Cell phones should
not be allowed in schools”
Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends …
Good morning to all!
It
would be my pleasure to speak on this topic. Although there are quite a few
advantages of bringing cell phones to school, the disadvantages of doing so
surely are more important than them.
Allowing
cell phones to school would be equivalent to giving an open invitation to
distraction. This is because with so many activities in a single gadget,
students are bound to be tempted to indulge in them, hence deviating from the
main objective of coming to school. Their concentration towards studies would
get worse. Teachers would also get distracted, as it is likely that the cell
phones will ring during class, destroying the tempo of the entire class.
Not
only would this, with a cell phone in everyone’s hands, there naturally be
unhealthy competition to see who has got the latest model and the hottest
brand. This would only increase the worries and expenditure of parents as every
student would pester their parents to buy them new cell phones. Also, it would
make students with not so latest cell phones be a victim of inferiority
complex. Worse still, it may also create a barrier or ‘cell phone-fueled class
difference’ between students as cell phones models and brands are now
considered a status symbol.
Bringing
cell phones to school would also pave way for theft. With expensive cell phones
in every other person’s bag, anyone could steal a cell phone, disrupting
discipline and making school a very unsafe place.
Cell
phones can be seen as a means employed by students for cheating during
examinations. They can simply text anyone and ask for assistance. Not only
this, it can give rise to after school gang activities and be misused in many
ways, like making prank calls just for fun. This can lead to serious consequences
and cause unnecessary panic as well as waste time.
The
aforementioned points clearly establish the fact that the reasons for not
allowing cell phones in schools are based on clear reservations and not on
flimsy ground, hence cell phones should not be allowed at schools.
At the end I would like to thank you
all for lending me your ears for my speech.
Jai Hind.
