 COMPREHENSION POEM - 2

1. Reading Skills (Comprehension)

Read the poem given below and answer the following questions.

The Wise Old Owl

In the heart of the forest, so deep and so wide,
Lives a wise old owl, with wisdom as his guide.
With feathers of brown and eyes big and bright,
He watches the world from his perch in the night.

The creatures all gather when the moon starts to rise,
To listen to stories beneath starry skies.
He speaks of the seasons, the trees, and the streams,
Of dreams that take flight and the magic of dreams.

“Be kind to each other,” he hoots with a grin,
“For friendship is treasure that grows from within.
And when you feel lost or you’re filled with despair,
Just look to the stars; you’ll find comfort there.”

As dawn starts to break and the night fades away,
The wise old owl bids his friends goodbye for the day.
With a flap of his wings, he takes to the sky,
Leaving behind all his wisdom to fly.
