COMPREHENSION PASSAGE - 2

1. Reading Skills (Comprehension)

Read the passage given below and answer the following questions.

In a vibrant coastal town, there was a renowned lighthouse known as Beacon Point. It stood tall on the cliffs, guiding ships safely to shore with its bright light. The lighthouse was maintained by an elderly man named Mr. Thompson, who had dedicated his life to this important job. Every evening, he would climb the spiral staircase to light the beacon as the sun dipped below the horizon.

One stormy night, a fierce tempest struck the coast. The winds howled, and the waves crashed violently against the rocks. Many ships were caught in the storm, struggling to find their way home. Mr. Thompson, aware of the danger, worked tirelessly to keep the light shining brightly. He knew that for many sailors, the lighthouse was their only hope.
